Instructions
Make the Sauce:
In a small bowl, whisk together:
1/4 cup honey
1/4 cup soy sauce
1 tbsp rice vinegar
1 tbsp sriracha
1 tsp toasted sesame oil
2 tsp cornstarch
Set the sauce aside.
Prep the Chicken:
Cut 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts into 1/2-inch bite-sized pieces.
Season the chicken with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder.
Toss the seasoned chicken in flour until each piece is well coated.
Cook the Chicken – First Batch:
Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Once the oil is hot, add half of the chicken.
Cook until browned and fully cooked through.
Remove and set aside on a plate.
Cook the Chicken – Second Batch:
Add 1 more tablespoon of oil to the skillet.
Repeat the cooking process with the remaining chicken.
Once cooked, remove and set aside with the first batch.
Sauté the Garlic:
Reduce the heat to medium-low.
Add 1 tablespoon of butter to the same skillet.
Stir in 2–3 minced garlic cloves.
Sauté for 30–60 seconds until fragrant (but not browned).
Add the Sauce:
Stir the sauce mixture again, then pour it into the skillet with the garlic.
Stir well, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom.
Let the sauce simmer for about 2 minutes until it thickens.
Combine Chicken with Sauce:
Return the cooked chicken to the skillet.
Toss to coat all pieces evenly in the sauce.
Cook for an additional 1–2 minutes until heated through.
Garnish and Serve:
Remove the skillet from heat.
Top with sliced green onions.
Serve and enjoy!
