Instructions
Step 1: Sauté garlic and shallots
Set your Instant Pot to sauté mode.
Add olive oil and butter.
Once melted, add chopped garlic and shallots.
Sauté for a few minutes until tender and fragrant.
Step 2: Add wine
Pour in the wine and stir for an additional minute to enhance the aroma.
Turn off the heat.
Step 3: Add half of the broth
Pour in half of the broth and scrape any brown bits from the bottom of the pot.
Step 4: Add pasta
Break the angel hair pasta in half and layer it in a criss-cross pattern inside the Instant Pot. This prevents the pasta from clumping together.
Step 5: Add the remaining broth
Pour the rest of the broth over the pasta, making sure the pasta is spread out.
Step 6: Add red pepper flakes and shrimp
Sprinkle red pepper flakes over the pasta.
Arrange the frozen shrimp on top of the pasta.
Season with a pinch of salt.
Step 7: Pressure cook
Secure the lid on the Instant Pot.
Set the Instant Pot to Manual or Pressure Cook for zero minutes (yes, really!).
The cooking time is so short that by the time the pressure cooker comes to pressure, the pasta and shrimp will be perfectly cooked.
